Aliza Sherman

Aliza Sherman is a mindful Digital Tech Wellness Strategist. She has over 25 years of combined experience using, dealing with, managing, writing about, and teaching how to benefit from technology.

Aliza helped pave the way for women online and in the Internet industry as a web and social mobile pioneer whose work helped shape the early new media industry. She is an international keynote speaker, author of 10 books, and a digital strategist since 1992. 
 
In addition to starting the first woman-owned Internet company in the early 90s, Cybergrrl, Inc., she has been writing, speaking and consulting about social media since 2006 and social mobile marketing since 2010. She is also well known for her expertise on women’s technology and business issues.
Her newest projects include:
 #WorkLifeTechZen, exploring the impacts of technology on our work and lives and the importance of disconnecting and adopting more mindful and healthier tech habits – and The Happy Healthy Nonprofit – a new book project with Beth Kanter.

Aliza is the author of 10 other books including Social Media Engagement for Dummies (Dummies Press); The Everything Blogging Book (Adams Media), StreetWise Ecommerce (Adams Media) and PowerTools for Women in Business: 10 Ways to Succeed in Life and Work (Entrepreneur Press). Her eighth book, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Crowdsourcing, won first place in the Best Technology Book category from the National Federation of Press Women and her ninth book, Mom, Incorporated, was given the Gold Book of the Year Award from . She has also contributed to Mashable, GigaOm, Entrepreneur magazine, Pink magazine, and many other online and offline publications.

Aliza has been featured numerous times in USA Today, US News & World Report, CNN, CNBC, and been profiled in People and Time, among others. In 1995, Newsweek named her one of the “50 People Who Matter Most on the Internet.” In 2009, Fast Company named her one of the “Most Influential Women in Technology.” Aliza has been included on a number of lists including Forbes.com’s “Top 20 Women for Entrepreneurs to Follow,” and Inc.
